Harmis is at pilot stage. We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with anyone for their own purposes. This page says what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and how to make us stop.
This page is about our website and the documents you download from it. You give us your email address, and we are responsible for it.
Who we are
This site is run by Harmis. We are at pilot stage and not yet a registered company. When Harmis is incorporated we will add the registered entity and its address here, and change the date at the top of this page.
For anything on this page, write to [email protected]. A person reads that inbox and will answer you.
1. The website and gated downloads
When you just read the site, we collect nothing about you.
We mean that literally, and it is checkable. The site sets no cookies. There is no analytics, no tag manager, no pixel, no session recorder, no chat widget, no embedded video, and no third-party fonts. Every asset on every page is served from our own domain. You can confirm it in your browser’s network tab — there are no outbound requests to anyone else.
When you ask for a download, we collect what you type into the form: your email address, so we can send you the document and — only if you tick the box — future ones; and your company name, so we know which kind of business finds the work useful. That is the whole list. We do not ask for your name, your phone number, or your job title, and we do not enrich what you give us against any third-party database.
The consent box
Ticking the box is how you consent to marketing email. It starts unticked, and it stays unticked unless you tick it. Consent is our lawful basis for sending you that email, and you can withdraw it at any time.
You get the document whether or not you tick it. The download is not the price of the consent. If you leave the box empty, we send you the document and never email you again.
How long we keep it
If you consented to marketing, we keep your email address and company name until you unsubscribe, and we review the list at least every 24 months so that we are not holding addresses of people who no longer want to hear from us. If you did not consent, we delete what you gave us within 30 days of sending you the document. We keep a record of whether you consented and when, for as long as we hold your address, because that record is the only proof that we had your permission.
How to stop
- Every marketing email we send has a one-click unsubscribe link. One click, no login, no survey. It takes effect immediately.
- Or write to [email protected] and say stop. Same result, done by a person.
Who else can see it
Your address is stored in our own database. It is not in a marketing automation platform, not in a CRM, and not in an advertising tool.
Our hosting provider serves the website and stores the database. Like any web host, it processes request metadata — including your IP address — in order to serve pages and protect the site from abuse. We do not use that data for marketing, and we do not join it to the download form.
Sending email needs an email provider, which will process your address in order to deliver the message.
What we will never do
- Sell, rent, or trade your address.
- Pass it to anyone for their own marketing.
- Add you to a marketing list because you emailed us, booked a pilot call, or downloaded something without ticking the box.
- Use a pre-ticked box, a box hidden in a wall of text, or copy that makes you feel bad for unticking it.
2. Your rights
Under UK and EU data protection law you can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, stop using it, hand it over in a portable form, or withdraw your consent — which, for marketing email, is the unsubscribe link.
Write to [email protected]. We will answer within one month. We will not charge you and we will not ask you to explain why.
We can act on your request directly.
If you think we have got this wrong, you can complain to your national data protection authority. In the UK that is the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk); in the EU it is the supervisory authority in the country where you live.
3. Children
Harmis is sold to businesses and used by working crews. We do not knowingly collect data about anyone under 16. If we learn that we have, we delete it.
4. Changes to this policy
If we change something that affects how we use your data, we will update this page and change the date at the top. If the change means we would use your data for something new, we will ask you again rather than rely on the old consent.
